Optional Airport Transfer Service
Arriving in Nairobi before your safari? If you choose to arrive a day before the safari, Centric Safaris can arrange an optional airport transfer from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to your preferred Nairobi hotel.
After disembarking your flight and completing immigration and customs formalities, our representative can meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for your overnight stay before the safari begins. This arrangement is particularly convenient for international travellers who prefer to rest in Nairobi before departing for the Maasai Mara.

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi in shared or private safari transport, travelling through the scenic Great Rift Valley before continuing towards the Maasai Mara. Enjoy the changing landscapes along the journey as you leave the city behind and travel through Kenya’s countryside towards the Mara region.
Lunch will be served at the camp. Upon arrival at Mara Ngenche Safari Camp, check in and settle into the riverside surroundings before preparing for your first safari experience.
In the afternoon, head out for your first shared game drive in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. Explore the wildlife-rich plains while keeping watch for animals moving through the grasslands and along the natural water sources. The open landscapes provide opportunities for wildlife observation and photography, while the scenery offers a memorable introduction to the Mara.
As the afternoon comes to an end, return to camp in time for a memorable bush sundowner, allowing you to relax and appreciate the peaceful atmosphere of the surroundings. Later, enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation at Mara Ngeche Safari Camp.
Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari
After an early breakfast, set out in the shared safari vehicle for a full day of exploration through the Maasai Mara’s wildlife-rich plains and river ecosystem. With more time available for safari today, enjoy opportunities to explore different areas of the reserve and observe wildlife in its natural habitat.
During the morning game drive, look out for some of the Mara’s iconic wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and various antelope species. Your guide will help you explore the landscape and look for wildlife along the way, although sightings cannot be guaranteed. The combination of open grasslands and riverine habitats provides a varied setting for wildlife viewing and photography.
Depending on the selected itinerary, return to camp for lunch or enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve, allowing you to make the most of your time in the Mara. Continue with an afternoon game drive, exploring more of the ecosystem and enjoying the changing scenery as the day progresses.
Return to Mara Ngenche Safari Camp in the evening after your safari activities. An optional cultural experience or sundowner may be available, subject to availability and the selected itinerary. Finish the day with dinner and your second night of accommodation at camp.
Day 3: Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Enjoy breakfast at the camp and take in your final moments in the peaceful riverside surroundings before preparing for your return journey. Depending on your departure time, an optional final morning safari activity may be arranged, subject to availability and your selected itinerary.
After checking out, depart the Maasai Mara and begin the scenic journey back to Nairobi. Travel through the Kenyan countryside, enjoying the changing landscapes as you leave the Mara ecosystem behind.
Lunch arrangements will depend on the selected itinerary and travel schedule. Continue towards Nairobi, where your safari concludes with a shared or private transfer and drop-off at your preferred location in the city.
Your journey ends with memorable experiences of the Maasai Mara’s wildlife, open landscapes and distinctive riverside environment.
Shared Safari Arrangement
The safari uses shared transport throughout the itinerary, meaning you will travel with other guests in a safari vehicle. Game drives are also shared, with guests participating together in the same vehicle and following the scheduled safari program.
This arrangement allows travellers to explore the Maasai Mara alongside fellow safari guests while enjoying the destination’s wildlife and scenery.
Private transport and private game drives can be arranged separately upon request, subject to availability and an additional cost. Guests who prefer a private safari experience can enquire with Centric Safaris when making their booking.
